Why not revive the old 'Galaxie' nameplate for the top-line LWB car? When first released for the 1959 MY the Galaxie was a range-topping trime level for Fairlane (AKA The Tank Fairlane). It sounds much better than 'Grange', and TL50 for that matter.

Might sell more too with such a name.

Mr D. Rumble "Mmm, yes, My good Ford Dealer, I'v come in to see the new Ford Galaxie, I beleive it has a lump on the bonet, a Boss 290, no rear wing, 19"ers and an interior of purferrated Warm Charcoal Leather, with polished pressed aluminium highlights, and comes in Phantom."

Remeber that it was the Galaxies that had the 600 bhp 427 OHC engines in that late 60's .....

Galaxie sounds awesome....
FPV galaxie... it has a certain ring to it lol.

Well they obviously would have to call it something as it no longer can be called TL50 as it has the tickford association.

Maybe something fresh?

It needs something with a strong ford identity, denoting performance and luxury. MAybe something that has been used before, even some thing that is currently being used. something that has not been used before as a standalone name.

What about The Ford Big Bastard. Galaxie would be cool, but Im also keen to see new names and models aswell. So long as the product is good, nothing should be really disapointing, remember, its only a name.
