Im not much of a comedian, but a test session "with a difference" that i experienced today had me in stitches.
Working with a gentleman (i dont think he will thank me for mentioning his name) we took his already highly modded Boss 290 out onto the freeway to gather some data for an upcoming mod.
a light sprinkle of rain on the road, and a twinkle in the owners eyes and we were off.
After a few runs up and down the freeway, and a few bangs on the rev limiter later, i called no joy, as the conditions were starting to play havoc with the data i wanted to analyse.
The owner wasn't so sure about this, so we hung a u turn, and he proceeded to tell me this and that about his car
i wasn't listening, i was watching the poor tacho the whole time, and the owner laughing like a drain, praising the long wheelbase for helping him to "straighten" our angle of attack.
some straightening was certainly required.
We think the mod will work. i think it will work wonders on the 260's, but some of those 290's sure are aggressive.
Ive withheld names to protect the innocent here, and it wasn't all that dangerous (thank god he can f*cking drive) but the laughter and the smiles is what owning a BOSS is all about.

Stay tuned for the results of the mod.

I drive, I vote and I'll go out of my way to see you out of government Mr Bracks. You lied your way into power and you lie to keep it. Enough lies!!! You're out of here!
yes Chris i know about this one but it wasnt done on the freeway was it...
greetings Mark
i guess Chris must have a big back yard up there in the Northern Suburbs, wish we had one down here as like Chris we dont test things on the open road either, expecially when it gets a little damp

i think the rusults were that the Ute is easier to straighten up when it steps out a little sideways as the Ford ute has the same wheel base as the old HQ 1 Tonner ( 120" ), bit like the old XW - XY you could throw them things around & they would just come back & straighten up for you with very little effort
