Fuel Tank Experiment on BA GT

Well i did an experiment on the fuel tank today,i ran down the fuel till the trip computer said zero range,I then started to sweat and did another 7.6Klms and then pulled into a Shell servo, filled it right up to the top and put in 64.34lts.So i probably had about another 3 or 4 Lts left not bad i thought. The more i drive this mighty GT the more i love it,they are just awesome beast.
Cheers John

Re: Fuel Tank Experiment on BA GT

How much is everyone getting out of a tank?

On my VXIISS, I reacon I get around 460km out of the 75 litre tank which isn't too bad for a 5.7.

3 or so litre's left, that's getting a bit close, did your red light come on,that normally tell's you you have 8 litre's or so left, going by your fuel left you would have only been able to do about 20klm's.

Re: Fuel Tank Experiment on BA GT

I average around 16-17lt's per 100km, drive it pretty hard mostly but also have a percentage of highway use. When i fill up with fuel, it's usually at around 30 DTE and can put in about 60 litres.

On the trip meter which i reset at every fuel fill, the car also gets pretty close to 500km's...gotta be happy with that in a V8 for day to day driving.

To (6pAc|30nG|00n) I got a total of 464Klms,that's a combination of some hard city driving and a bit of country down to the peninsula.
Cheers John
