A new survey released this week in the UK confirms that women are safer drivers than men. The study found women were less likely than men to take risks such as speeding, driving the morning after a heavy drinking session, driving when tired or using a mobile phone behind the wheel

On the other hand, my own personal observations have revealed a number of things women are MORE likely to do than men whilst driving:
Drive in the right hand lane at 10km/h below the speed limit while turning around to slap the children in the backseat;
Let said children out of the car at a school on the right (drivers) side of the car, so they can run across the road where the car is double parked, instead of escorting them to a crossing;
U-turn across double lines outside above mentioned school, nearly hitting the children getting out of the right (drivers) side of the car behind her and doing the same thing she let her children do;
After barely avoiding above children, she’ll drive off at a snails pace so as not to hit the potholes while she applies the last of her make-up using the vanity mirror in the sun-visor;
Then reach across the car to where her bag has fallen into the front passenger foot-well so she can put said make-up back in the side-zipper-pocket of her bag where it belongs;
Finally sitting up straight and attentive so she can drink her foam cup of steaming hot cappuccino without any unsafe male drivers bothering her or making her have an accident, as she is such a good driver she’d never have one that was not caused by some inconsiderate male who never pays attention to what he’s doing behind the wheel of a car.
(and that’s just an amalgam of the women in MY family – I hate to think of the women in all yours! :s6:)
Cheers
