Well, let the controversy begin.
Already the media are saying 'it doen't match the 300kw from HSV's GTS', but as usual, they're not comparing apples to apples, as it absolutely flogs the 260kw of it's direct competitor - the Clubsport.

to media for this furphy already!
And look at that torque - 520Nm at 5500rpm!
If usual Tickford/FPV practice applied, it will also handle a lot better than the Clubbie, as the Falcon is a better base platform to start from than the Commodore (though I'm sure SMH/AGE etc will award the win there to their car making arm, HSV).
And the exhaust note is bound to be GLORIOUS if the Falcon Ute ad is anything to go from, as the Boss290 is a better breathing Boss260!
David Flint also basically confirms GTHO is coming down the track, and that, as the true GTS competitor, is bound to have more power (and my personal opinion is that it won't appear until they get some weight back out of the Barra shell maybe for BA series II).
The styling is understated, but I like it, and I'm sure while the green is nice, that it's not the most flattering colour in the range (and I'm not sure if it's that smart to use a green shade to debut the car when that gives people another reason to say they're aping HSV?).
1st quarter of next year is going to be very interesting - GT vs Clubsport - let the games truely begin.
