I have 1 week to choose a color for my new GT.

I initially wanted Narooma Blue, but ford said . . . . no

Here is a quick round up of the colors and what I think of them:

Venom Red, a very light red, not a deep rich red

Silhouette Black, too hard to keep spotless and clean

Mercury Silver, It tends to not stand out enough, just blends in
with outher cars on the road

Winter White, Can't see the countours of the car, Arn't Telstra cars white?

Congo Green, Im not 50 y/o.

Blueprint, good color BUT it is the most popular color of the BA XRs

Citric Acid, I think Im gonna be sick.

Bloog Orange, what will my clients say!! (your driving a vitiman C tablet!!)

Blue Pearl, scratches white and almost looks black

Acid Rush, same as blueprint, very popular with XRs & I saw a XT station wagon in Acid Rush and it makes the color look cheap.

Phantom Purple, nice color but purple doesnt really do things for me, shows the dirt up very easily.

What is your opinion??? and why?

Sounds like you are in trouble XR_Cam, you don't seem to like any of the colours available.

I don't mind the citric acid, its a bit like the old pine lime colour of the mid 70's. Bright, a bit different but not too out there like acid rush.

from your comments you don't like any hehehhe.

I'd say if you are fussy stick to a classic color like silver, black or red.

maybe this might change your mind check the MMS pics I think blood orange looks hot...

I'd be more than happy with either Blueprint, Sillouhette, Phantom, or Citric Acid. Wouldn't touch Blood Orange if my life depended on it!

Also I think you're a bit harsh on the old Congo Green... did you see the S.A. club presidents XR6T at the FPV weekend? Gorgeous!

Yeah, leave Congo Green alone. That the colour of my car.

But, I would go White, with Blue stripes

xr_cam, the decision is easy mate.

Go Black, its not just a colour, it's a statement. It's a pain but its like a drug. What it delivers in return, you can not get from any other colour.

Similar arguement can compared to why people want the BOSS V8 over the turbo 6. "It's a pain but its like a drug. What it delivers in return, you can not get ...."

I would have liked the Narooma Blue too. But I chose the Blueprint without stripes. My second choice was Congo but my missus's Mondeo is congo and I wouldn't want to get them confused.
