I just got a GT-P for the wife on friday night.... and today let my son take it out... and he told me that he just put it through its pases and when he stopped that there was smoke coming from somewhere.... but only lasted for a while... has any had1 herd of this or experienced it?

Haha, if it wasn't the rear tyres, then your son needs a lesson on how to drive his dad's new V8!!

Was it smoke, or steam? It may have just been water hitting the brakes or exhaust. And it might have been the brakes getting a good workout.

lol dont u worry! my son has had plenty of lesson's on how to drive V8's!! the smoke he only noticed the smoke when he had stopped to give way.... so it could of just been the brakes but i dunno! thats why i was wondering if any 1 else had experienced the same

Wasn't condensation from the exhaust at all,get's pretty cold down your way.

i had the same thing happen when i picked up my ute from the dealers,being brand new,the coating on the zorst,engine,engine bay was smoking when it got hot,thats what they call new car smell!!!! nothing to worry about,it will go away soon...

Thanks mate! yeah shes only got 250k's on the clock! so she's still pretty tight.... my wife doesnt like it! so it looks like ill have to get her another car... which means ill drive the gt-p and put a blower on that... and give the xr8 to my son! if i can afford it all
