Info in NZ is non existant. There is no car here that anyone has seen, there is no pricing except the GT is 'Indicatively priced' at NZ$80,000 ($20000 more than XR8) and GT-P NZ$90000 ($30000 more than XR8). At A$60000, the price in equivalent price in NZ with exchange rate at 0.94 is NZ$64000, so FNZ want $16000 for the sports wheel and premium sound, which are the 2 standard 'extras' for the NZ spec. I read an article about FPV wanting to match against HSV, and to launch as many cars on the road as possible. At this price it may kill FPV sales in NZ, which would be rather sad. There are hundreds of HSV's here, and so FPV have a lot of market to catch up - volume of presence on the road is a critical factor - the more 'out there' the GT is, the quicker it will take off. Realistically matching the price to HSV would accelerate that presence. Hope the 'indicative pricing' is set too high (XR8 IP was set at '$64,000 +' and came in at $61500, with standard prem sound. Keep fingers and toes crossed......

Can't remember how I figured it out but I applied the same difference between the Turbo and XR8 Aussie prices to the NZ prices, and ended up at around 70k for the GT...

On a side note, NZ's first XR8 was delivered to it's customer a couple of weeks ago from our dealer. Black with 19 inch chrome rims, the cats cut out and the rear muffler modified. I wanna see it! The lady who picked it up was very pleased...

Wow!! I'm surprised to hear that Ford Fanatic. I was told they wouldn't be available until March at the earliest. Good thing that info was wrong. I can't wait to see the first one in the flesh.

Its got me buggered where the hell does FORD (NZ) get its pricing from. I personally think that they just want to rip there potential buyers off.They are just plain greedy thats my two cents worth.

The price increase could have something to do with shipping the cars over to NZ. So you probably can't just convert AU to NZ $ to get the price of the cars.
