GT Times

0 - 100km/h in 6.0 seconds and 0 - 400m in 14.23
but dont dispear guys, they said overall it was a good package and the ride was very impressive. They like most things except weight. GT is 1827kg

yeah when i saw i was a bit disappointed. However upon reading the article I see that they basically said it handled GREAT, looked GREAT, and was essentially a better car than its HSV rival. Thats all I care. Anyone can build a car that runs quick in a straightline but it takes engineering to build a car to go around the twisty bits with confidence (and that much power). Great work David and team. A great looking car with raw grunt and driveability. what more could we ask for :) GO FORD!!

did anyone notice this that it says Falcon XR8 v HSV ClubSport v Commodore SS in the next wheels so they included the ss

I'm starting to get a little bit pissed off with these car magazines.
Why the hell wont they compare the equal models?
The XR8 does NOT compete against the Clubsport. It competes against the SS
The GT competes against the Clubsport

All that aside, a good review. A pity they copped the wettest day in Melbourne in 18 months on the Great Ocean Rd, but besides that, it all looks good.

Congrats to David and the team!

Was also interesting to note that the engine has some characteristics used on the supercharged model.

Its all good :-)

Chevs may go, but theres nothing like a HO!

Remember that the GT is only supposed to be on par with the Clubsport and that runs about a 14.2 doesnt it? Motor will crack about 13.9 i reckon as they always seem to be 3 - 4 tenths of a second faster than Wheels.

Ford claimed 6.2 for the turbo, and Motor and Wheels got 5.9-6.

So for the GT with claimed 5.5 (yes, in Drive they said that), Motor should be able at least to match it.

290Kw and 520 Nm is matching the M5, and they have similar weight.

The overall package has always been get some big (or little as the case may be) numbers up and get people saying WOW.

Once again dissappointing> Holden chums buy holdens because they want the numbers. If you want a bigger chunk of the market, get the numbers...the package was never ever a bad thing.

3 times ive been dissappointed....xr6t, XR8 and GT all run similar 1/4 mile times. In fact the XR6t has run the best yet and received the biggest rap..

I just want 13s for god sake. AND PLEASE if a GT-HO comes out, for christ sake don't let it run mid 14s as well and completely **** up the best oppurtunity ford has had for years.
