GT in V8 Supercars and Nations Cup?

I read in the 'DRIVE' section of the Heraldsun newspaper that there is a possibility that the Ford V8Supercars could be based on the new GT and the GT-P could also run in Nations Cup.

Quote:
There is even a chance that Ford could use the GT as the basis for its all-new BA racecar in V8Supercar competition., though it's more likely that a GT-P will run against the coming super Monaro in Nations Cup contests
Wouldn't that be exciting!! :s3

Channel Seven are only showing 5 hours worth on coverage.
The first 2 hours and the last 3.

That would be sick if they did have the GT in the Bathurst 24hour.

Well, unless Holden change the rules of V8 supercars we will not see the new motors as they don't comply (pushrods seem to be missing).

GTP racing should be a certainty - with 300kw they will be getting towards a very competitive power/weight ratio.

They'd need to do a special model GT for Nations cup - the Monaro will have a 450kw 7.0 C5R racing motor ...
