None of these cars will be as fast as what you drive now Firefox, you will have to spend some $$$ to get them up to what you are used too :).
Yeah I know mate....but it comes to what you want.....i'd rather less kwt's...and have a nice smooth car to drive, than something that is really hard to drive especially in 50 kph zones. It's great to drive at 100 k's +...but anything less than that..it's just cranky & i'm not fed up with it,, but I get more satisfaction driving my work vehcile (Ford EF wagon 6) because it's just so smooth and nice and no stalling....My perception of driving has changed somewhat and big Kwt's at the sacrifice of driveability is something i do not want anymore. I'd rather 290-300kwts with the smoothness of a six....that appeals to me more ......I'm must be getting old. The XR6T appeals to me the most at the moment....quiet.....quick....and screw the boost up...it will flog almost anything while remaining nice and drivable. If i do get it, an APS phase 3 kit will be the go. But a V8 will be very hard to let go.......as...i have only ever owned performance V8's.

If you think a stage 3 aps kit will do you justice on the street think again.A stage 2 would be a better option.Spooling that Turbo isn't a good look
I did a reasonable amount of research before buying my GTP and like most here compared against the XR6. However, upon further investigation it became evident to me that there was a very real and serious problem with the XR6 ...... it was missing 2 cylinders!!!!
V8's forever!!
ROFL. Very well put.
I did about 3 months research on the net before i approached a dealer to get a test drive and talk turkey. In the end, there was only one conclusion - I had to get the GT-P. I may have stretched the budget a little, but i believe it was worth it.
3500km later - I still have no regrets and am especially reminded of this decision each time i rumble past a squeaking 6 or drag off a Holden V8, effortlessly mind you.

Yeah maybe.....but i will test drive the XR6T & the GT before i make up my mind. I am going to purchase a new BA Wagon 6 for the business in the next week or so....see what sought of deal they'll give me for two cars.

I agree with FPVGT, you are better with a stage 1 or 2 if you want a smooth quick and quiet XR6T. The stage 3 is awesome but is too much for day to day driving.
