Just a thought, but I'm wondering if the GT, GT-P and the Pursuit Ute are speed limited? It would make sense that the Ute is speed limited on accopunt of it's single tailshaft, but what about the Sedans?

The XR6t, XR8 and Pursuit ute have a centre bearing now (2 tailshafts). I think the FPV vehicles a limited to 250ks.

Looking at the latest Motor Mag, the diff ratio is the limiting factor. I would expect not much more than 260 on the flat and level.

But who knows downhill.......

XR8's are 230, FPV's are 250, but they sometimes read more before they will engage the limiter. You can barely notice them coming on. You hit the top speed and its like a brick wall, you just can't go any faster but it cuts in so softly you don't feel it.

Yeh mine starts to vibrate as it goes trans-sonic.
The shock field dwells behind the bonnet bump causing vapour locks and intermittent loss of power.
This together with the increased drag of the compression wave precludes further accelleration.

Maybe I need a barber pole on the RSI (Road Speed Indicator)
