High Pressure washers-good investment

Anybody having any doubts about buying a high pressure washer such as a Karcher have no fears, they are easy and great to use and will definately not harm your duco if you buy one with variable pressure control. As we know with Melbourne at stage 2 water restriction no hose's are allowed to be used to wash your car but are permitted to use a high pressure washer because they use 80% less water.
I bought a Karcher 620 more in the upper class models, because it has variable pressure control and is safe to use on our investments such as the cars which we all take care of with love & pride.By the way i bought the unit at Bunnings for $799.
Regards John

Re: High Pressure washers-good investment

Yes i've been using our Karcher quite alot. I'm really surprise that Karcher have not really advertised the products better -- they could make a FORTUNE (as these units are ok to use in even stage 2 restictions for your car)

DO NOT go too close with the high pressure nosels as they will strip the paint off your numberplates!

=)

I bought one on the weekend.

I got the Karcher 299m it cost $299 from bunnings

i wouldnt be going nuts and spending $700 odd on a highpressure cleaner,

the 299m has a max pressure of 1445 or there abouts and its perfect for the car (even at close range) u can put ur hand infront of the nozel and it doesnt hurt unlike the guns at car lovers.

I highly recommend it.

Cheers

Re: High Pressure washers-good investment

I bought the ALTO with a 2 year warranty as the Karcher only has a 1 year limited warranty (They do not recommend them for commercial use!!) and the karcher has a plastic motor!!. Washed the beast and it removed all of the brake dusk from behind the rimz.

Excellent buy!.

PS: I would not have even considered a high pressure washer unless GTP 320 started this thread. Thanks mate!!

Re: High Pressure washers-good investment

I upgraded the 520M to a 630M for the inbuilt detergent tank (the little suck it hose does just that - sucks) and the inbuilt hose reel which just keeps things tidier.

Either unit are extremely good if toward the upper end of the domestic units.

Cheers
