Maybe not at your dealership RATT but its std practice at most. The hipo cars are generally referred to as the KFC gopher cars and we all know who gets assigned to get the lunch orders for the lads in the workshop. I've been around workshops too long to know what goes down - you'd be suprised. Ever wondered if the Mobil 1 oil you brought in yourself actually went into the car or was it the dealership's std fluids........

Re: Keep you car away from Titan Ford Brookvale

I had a Alternator go on my GTP when i got it back the plastic engine cover bolts needed a crack bar to undo them and one is still striped in, its not a big deal but what sort of mechanic puts 200nm of torque on a tiny 8mm bolt?

Re: Keep you car away from Titan Ford Brookvale

When you know all this strange stuff goes on at the dealers, why go back there?
Look outside the square (or oval in this case), and you'll find some great workshops that appreciate your business, and appreciate your car.

Oh, and when enquiring about a 15000km service for my AWD Terri, my local Ford dealer said oil and filter change were just about all they do...for this $200 service. Is booked into a local workshop I've used before, where they know me personally, and they'll check it over like their own.

Re: Keep you car away from Titan Ford Brookvale

Yep, my brother apprenticed at Ford, and I got to see things first hand. It's simply a case of everyone is busy, and it's pot luck as to getting someone who gives a toss, or someone who doesn't. Subsequently I see Ford rather sparingly, and this will be less so with the latest toy. There are other options...........

Thats bullsh*t. My brother is a second-year mechanic at Titan Ford Brookvale, on his red P's and he works on/ test drives top model cars all day. They always joke about doing burnouts down the street next to it and other people's cars and the workshop controller doesn't even know what's going on, his name's Arton and he's as cheap as chips. No wonder you can't find out who did this to your car!

Re: Keep you car away from Titan Ford Brookvale

Guys, the thread is two years old, the guy calling himself RATT rarely if ever, visits this forum anymore.

Most of them went to the other ford forum back in 2004/05.

So i doubt you will find out through this forum what eventually happened with the Titan problem.

Re: Keep you car away from Titan Ford Brookvale

Contact consumer affairs, and seek legal advice as to if you can sue for damages or costs of repairing damages, if the vehicle was in good condition before being towed, then it is Titan fords responsibility as they contract towies. good luck.
