And how is the strip these days? Been nearly 16 years since I went there. I hope they have at least sealed the return road!

Yep the return road is sealed now but the rest including the drive in is still dirt (got a HUGE stone chip coming home)
The day was rather hot and crappy and the times for everyone were fairly ordinary 14s (except for Mark's "HARD ON" which did 11s)
The highlight of my day was kicking a VYSS although a XY 351 showed my his tail lights quite spectactularly (I suspect it wasn't stock though).
It took some practice to get the GT-P to launch without massive spin.

The scrutineers told us there was some new rule about test driving cars as part of the pre run checks. :)
Didn't fall for that one.

Everyone had a great time and the Gladstone guys are true professionals.

Definitly going back there.

Exact I can't remember, I have them at home somewhere on slips.
My best was about 14.5 something and my worst was 15.6 something (really stuffed the launch). It was hot and I was running tyres at road pressure coz I have nitrogen in them and it is hard to replace in the scrub. None of my launches were very good but it is a new car and I wasn't real keen on thrashing it too much yet. I am sure it is capable of a lot better.
There were a couple of other BAs there but I was the only one who played. Most of the other cars were too new (I have 7900km)
All the other players in our mob were in AUs, ELs and a VERY quick XD
But it was fun....
(and before anyone starts on the GT-Ps are slow crap.... I did beat every other comparable car there, not that there were many and there were no sub 14s from anything stockish)
