last weeks trip to ipswich

hi all

we flew to brisbane last wednesday to collect our blueprint GT from the ipswich ford dealer.
we only had a few days but we managed to visit the dick johnson museum/workshop, which was most impressive and a took a quick look at stone brothers facilities.....less than impressive.
we got out to willowbank raceway and took the GT for a quarter mile jaunt, and then over to queensland raceway to catch some superbike testing for this weekends round....great day alround at no costs..ok a bit of rubber....
.....and the best bit was the 1800 klms drive home.

click for piccies of the trip away and new toy

What a great way to get to know your new car.

Was the drag strip on the way home too :)

Enjoy.

Re: last weeks trip to ipswich

SBR may not have made a great impression with their workshop....but just maybe they are spending their sponsorship dollars on engine development instead of state of the art facilities...I think the track results speak for themselves.
What time's did you put down on the strip in the GT.

thanks
i have added the photos from ford of my car on the assembly line now..

hi galaxy...there arent many engine variables these days with operation blueprint, but i did hear that driver input is very important in racecar development. the source did not bag DJR, but praised SBR drivers input in this area. SBR as a team a doing a commendable job and i hope in time they give a little back to their fans as dick has with his facility.
we ran a little over 15 taking care, good fun captured on incar video.

I still love my GT-P in blueprint 2 1/2 years after I brought her home. You will never regret it.
