We've had the polls, the arguments, the emotions, the exaggerations, we have 9 or 10 people unhappy with their car, please detail what faults you do/have had exactly. Eg if it uses 500ml oil/10000k's state that, not "its an oil guzzler POS" This might be a good list for Ford to take notice of and could help all of us separate some of the emotion from the facts. Could we also list average fuel consumption as indicated on the trip computer, not calculated.
'Feb 04 GT Vixen Auto. 7600k's
1 Creaking console lid. Unresolved
2. Fuel filler cap too tight. Unresolved
Fuel cons 14.9 av
Thanks
Cheers Rob

Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
Overall, extremely happy. Only 3 faults encountered in 5 months.
1. Knock in diff as auto goes into top gear.
2. constant and slight whistling sound - Ford seem to think it's in the diff.
3. This is the biggie, I can't beat a new stinkin' clubsport!
Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
Extremely happy overall, just can't seem to fault this car.
July 03 GTP Auto Blueprint with Silver stripes 13,700 Built No.320
1.Had air bubbles on the rear stripes, problem fixed under warranty
2.Had Bubbles on Dash, problem fixed under warranty(Replaced with a new Dash)
3.That exhaust note just can't wipe of that smile lol
Cheers John

Pursuit ute, build number 125 July '03
1) Diff getting replaced due to whining.
2)Some minor trim issues
3)Squeeling brakes
4)Exhaust knocking
5)WAS using oil, but has settled. (they said to keep an eye on it)
Apart from those few minor niggles i am extremely happy, be nice if the lard arse could lose a few kilo's though
Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
Overall Very happy.
1. Squealing Brakes.
2. Just OK Clutch pressure plate, limits 'go fast' bit add-ons
3. approx 14l/100km (around town)

Note that I can live with the first two.
Easy fixed mate, you got an auto, slip some underdrive pulleys on her and a SS CAI with BMC filter and Pacemakers for starters, then see how you go against a HSV Clubbie thingy!

Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
My GT has just gone 12 months
Overall very happy compared with my last car (VT SS with countless problems)
Bubbles in Rear Stripes - repaired under warranty
Brake Squeal - all but gone now after 18,000 hard kms
Key Fob Boot Release Sets Off Alarm - In tomorrow for third time - unresolved
Oil use settled of its own accord - now around 200 mls per 1,000 - I can live with that
P Plater ran up my bum - do not blame Ford or FPV for that one (allthough others on the forum would I'm sure)
First few k's heard a rattle in my left ear - could not work it out - pissed me off until I realised it was my second pair of sunglasses in the holder - doh!
17.2l per 1,000 mostly city driving
Also, saved a fortune on Viagra - permanent boner!!!

Sorry mate, I think Ford/FPV are totally to blame for that, if they had'nt made such a horny looking car the P Plater would have been concentrating on the road not your sexy butt. :)
Fell for the sunglasses one myself too! :)
