Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
2003 XR8
1. Car grew and extra pair of tail pipes
2. Lost its rear spoiler
3. Suspension shrunk
4. Intake grew for some reason
5. Cant beat a 13.95 down the 1/4
6. Up to my 5th (all 4) set of tyres (thank god for rotation)
7. 1 blown pixel on my ICC, very annoying!
I think the biggest problem we are all going to have is selling them

November 2003 XR8 Ute - now done 12,000 kms
1. Tailgate didn't open, fixed under warranty
2. Pulled hard to right... back to dealer 4 times... eventually fitted castor and camber kit, my expense
3. New Steering wheel fitted, thread unravelled, warranty
4. 2 new drivers door trims (bad batch), warranty
5. 2 new tub liners because of warping, warranty
6. 2 Original Ford Covers, 1 new cover when sports bar fitted, 2 custom made covers (biggest annoyance) all done at Fords expense.
All minor stuff... I loves me ute!
Fuel average 19.6 litres per 100 (not reset since 6,000 km), driving around town and up and down freeway to Surf Coast from Melb.
Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
Still using oil at 15,000km
Bubbles in the srtipes....fixed under warranty
Paint on rear bumper peeling...still to be fixed under warranty
Seat belt light came on for a 600kms on way back from Canberra a few months ago
Tyres wearing down on the rear
Rev limiter hurts neck when it kicks in
Gear stick rattling
Drive line shunt
but its a great car to drive

Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
Feb 2003 BAXR8 Ute, done 25,000km
1. Brake shudder (fixed at 11500km's) hasnt come back
2. Throttle module , replaced immediately
Thats it with mine, no dramas with anything else, uses on average 15-16lt/100km and i drive it hard, get usually over 400-450km out of a full tank. While there are still problematic cars i still maintain if you give them a whole lotta curry, they wont last as long.
I know of a few people who absolutely give their BA's a right-royal flogging (on the street & strip) then complain that they arent getting a good car. That would happen to anything this side of a supercar

I would'nt worry too much most are minor bugs that get fixed and if you read their comments most are very pleased with there BA Performance and Handling.

Re: List your faults without emotion or exaggeration
GTP320 the eternal optimest, your not serious "minor problems" yep a few motor, couple of gear boxes, drive shafts, massive amounts of oil burners, the same amount of brake shudder, and drivline snatch,"Minor" I bet your the guy that said, the glass is half full, not half empty. Im not being smart but even you cant think these are "minor". Anyway we dont want to go any further with this sort of thread, because it"ll come to no good in the end. LOL
Cheers Steve.....

Spot on Rodderz....and how many times does a race car have a new engine, brakes, etc etc......and why??....because when they are driven like that the bloody things wear out.
