Ahhhhhh, its all fitted and after 10 significant hard start thrashings through the gears. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. No slipping or hard/soft pedal, just smooth powerful acceleration. The short shifter has tightened everything up perfectly and the change is much smoother and faster. The clutch pedal is about 30% harder to push in and takes up very smoothly. Some of the usual clunking and thumping has also disappeared. In three words "Just Do It" , it transforms the car. I'm rapt. Now for the front whitline 27mil sway bar on Fri morn. Getting there slowly. (nothing happens very quickly in WA WA land)

i have had work done by Mal Wood before and i cant recommend it enough. I am going back on Monday to get my diff rebuilt, and a shorter gearstick, as i have an XF one and its way too tall. Plus i have a short shift kit in, and with a long stick it makes no difference...
I cant wait till monday. Is there a run in period after i get the diff rebuilt??? Its going to be bloody hard for me to hold back if there is

Doc could you let your fellow FF members know what the clutch and presure plate is worth..as this looks like it could be on the cards for a few of them..

Hi Gentlemen and fellow fordies (like the new icon XRFPV8). Mate I would love to get the car on the track. I don't really have much joy hurtling down the quarter so I need to get a track day where one can drive. I think I'm going to have to come back to Melb for some Cams so I'll try for Calder
Mal charged me $1003 for the clutch plate, pressure plate, & short shifter. I think the S/Shifter was about $310, there was also $100 freight. Clutch and P/Plate work out to about $650 approx.

short shifter is a bargian there paying $450 to $600 here..and thats a good price for a decent clutch and pressure plate..good mod for $1000 and extra stregnth to...
