GT mags ewwwww...look like a dealer add on that you would put on a VR-X lancer..

GT-P mags are the same as those off AUIII Fairmont....

How do they keep on making a car that is so amazing in 98% of its make up (ie engine, road presence/design etc) then just let it be almost overshadowed by something as simple as which mags they put on it.

With such a good oppurtunity i dunno how they made it look so much like a freakin XR8. Why buy a GT when you can have an XR8 that looks the same and performs only marginally slower, for probs $10K less?

Ford, you know what people want just give it to them; STREET CRED.

I personally love the wheels, dunno why so many people want to winge about them, as for street cred the GT is here to tackle clubbies and it will probably be capable of eating a GTS anyway - It has 10Nm more torque lower down the dial to boot.

As for HSV having a field day

The fatter mags with the "GT" in the centre cap from the illustrations looked better, but I can live with what was launched today.

Love the mags! Both on the GT and GT-P.... Look nothing like AUIII Fairmont wheels actually....well no hang on...they are both round with 5 bolt holes in the middle.

Ok it seems alot of people have negative feelings with respect to the looks of the GT ... just curious as to why - VOTE

The GT looks too much like the XR8, but the GT-P looks better.

I was expecting something a bit more "Look at Me"

I wanted flared arches and exhausts tips on each end.

But, i still Love it!!!! initial pictures sucked.. but now that there are more pictures out there... I want one!!

OK guys, I just got back from the motor show. Let me start by saying I don't have any pictures, I don't own a digital camera. Rest assured plenty of pictures will become available from the show and no doubt will end up here.

The whole show is great, it's well worth going if you were considering it or not.

Now to the best part, the Ford stand. It's pretty damn good. Plenty of Barras there including the new GT and Pursuit and a nice BA station wagon. Obviously the full falcon range is there in most every colour available. Phantom looks great up close, it really stands out. The FPV cars are terrific, don't worry guys you will not be dissapointed. A full range of Fords other cars is there also including the revised Courier which is quite nice. There is a merchandise stand with a new range of gear including some nice FPV stuff, testing out my new stubbie holder as I type this.

Holden stand is almost not worth mentioning. SSX is unbelievable though, I hope Holden doesn't make it, LOL.

Sorry about the no pictures thing, you really have to go to the show and see these cars in person. For those that can't others will be arriving back with heaps of picture no doubt. Any questions, ask away!
