I've just picked up my GTP from its first 1500 service. I asked them to change the oil & filter. The filter didnt seem to be very glugy at all which is a good sign I've been running it in ok.

I only had to wait about 1hr and the service guy let me come with him for the road test. They allocated a FPV GT certified specialist for the job. They were very impressed with the Herrod Zorst too.

While I was there John Byrne (Dealer Principal of New Oak) asked me if we could go for a spin in my new beast to see what the Herrod mods were really like.

His words were somthing like "Im very impressed, and you can quote me on that one"

We bought our GT from New Oak, as we did our XR6T and before that TS50. Have always had good experiences with them.

May have to take it there for servicing too if they have a dedicated GT service Tech, that can only be a good thing.

I think I am going to have to move to Melbourne, You have all the good dealer's and service and mechanic's down there,well done, when I took my mesley XR8 in for it's servicing I said to the dealer that I wanted to go with them when they did the road test, that didnt go down to well,so I said dont do the road test then and he went all funny as if'' it's only a car'' yeah but I've heard what they do when they take them on the road test, I just wish I could be able to trust them then there would be no worries.

Yeah GTP 200 I reckon some guy's that work at the dealer's that do road test's can do thing's in our car's that we have never been able to do ourselve's.

I've seen customer cars being driven out of the workshop to the wash bay and for road tests. I think the right foot becomes a kilo or so heavier as soon as they leave. . .
