New Rims For GT

Hi all could anyone let me know what brands of 18" rims there are out there that will fit on the GT with Performance brakes? Does the offsets on the front and rear come into yhe equation have been told they do and they don't. Any advise would be appreciated.

Mansformaus,

the brakes do not come into issue on the GT unless you have the Brembo's,

you should be able to get practically any style of Rim to suite the GT. the problem is with tht GTP.

Cheers

Re: New Rims For GT

I would try the rims before handing over any money or fitting tyres as I know of several people, me included that have had problems.
I fitted a set of ANZ Scars 18x8 they hit the caliper on the front and required a 6mm spacer.
The offset is different to a AU. After purchasing a set they said would fit.
I have fitted a set of ENKEI RPO2's. These are used for racing and track days as they are 5kg lighter than the standard rim.

The rear offset is different purely for cosmetic reasons, to move the tyre further outboard, whether you get mags with different offsets is up to you.

Re: New Rims For GT

The premium Brake equipped cars can fit 9 inch wheels front and rear. I know, I've seen it and there's no fouling, scraping or other issues. Having the same offset and sticking to the 245 tyres means you can then do standard tyre rotations as well.

As for Brembos, I'm having this headache right now. NOTHING fits!

Re: New Rims For GT

I saw an Orange GT with stripes down the middle as well as on the side with Black Centred 20" RIMS and 245's all round, it looked mean. Apparently Jaxx tyres have a few rims they have tried and these looked awesome. Maybe give them a try
