Now I don't know how much of this is true but anyway I thought it would make for interesting reading.

It goes a little something like this, I rang City Ford in Melbourne in regards to getting the SatNav fitted to my GT and then we were talking about the
current model GT's and was thinking about getting rid of it for something else.

He then started talking about the Series II BA and that they are going to be a 6 Speed Auto and Manual box in the GT/P they will also have a slight power increase like 5 - 10kw's slighty lighter 10 - 20kg's,

And this is what really supprised me that FPV were currently testing a F6 Turbo AWD

( I find this hard to belive ) But with ford you never know.

Someone i spoke to a while ago told me that they are going to be putting the 6 speed ZF auto out of the Jaguar in the BA series II, then someone else said that was crap, oh well the old rumour mill has fired up again.

From other Rumours i have heard from dealers ahve been crap, like one telling my friend the GT would have 320kW for example, he seemed certain that it would but he really didnt have a clue and just thought it up hiomself. Sources other than ford dealers have been more reliable.

I'd say the 6 speed auto is a certainty.

yeah but at what cost? I can't see Ford importing gearboxes.

Well thats an actual realistic weight drop - but i'm not sure about the power increase. Base I6 I can't see moving off 182kW, it uses lots of fuel at the moment so with a weight drop that will help fuel consumption but with a power increase that will offset this advantage. If they change nothing the 6speed ZF auto is lighter by about that amount than the 4speed we currently have.

I can't see a lot of power increases across the range though.
