Oh no, not again

Oh no, here we go again, my new silver fox (GT) is only 11 days old, done a mere 1400km in it now, and guess what, ITS USING OIL.
I pulled the stick at the 1000k mark, prob used 500ml, had a look after the 400k it did on the weekend, used a heap more.
I rang my service manager today, he wants to get it into the system for oil watch. I cant believe my luck, as far as I know, (not 100% sure), FPV are building me an engine for 522, it will be a run in and settled one, if I get another oil user, im probably going to loose it.
I told my service manager, better start building me another one, as im not going to put up with the weekly oil checks, im well and truely over it, im sick of fronting up to the dealer, hes sick of me and im sick of him.
I did check the oil in 522 to night, its amost off the stick again, probably by the time I can get it to the dealer, it wont be registering anything.
Its hard, he says, just drop it in some time, 522 is the work car, im at work 5 days + at the moment, its about 2hr round trip, its all not just that simple.
Im looking forward to the day when, the routine service is all I have to do.

Re: Oh no, not again

Really sorry to hear about the trouble you're having, but thanks for the reminder for me to check my oil. I've done 840km so far and i'm still on full. I guess i'm one of the lucky ones.

Hope you get it sorted out dude.

Chris

Re: Oh no, not again

Give it more time to run in they can tend to use more oil at first and then settle down like most of the GTs,
Adrian i think that you are getting a bit paranoid about it im sure it will come good.
Cheers John

Re: Oh no, not again

Jeez adrian hopefully no more bad luck, after all you know well how good they drive and this will sour that experience.

Maybe a trip to calder is in order to loosen it up...maybe it's still abit "toit"
