Just a quick question for the GT, GT-P owners. My old man has a GT-P (0712 Citric Acid) and has just had the "peace of mind" service completed on it. He has wondered if they had put the right filter on it.

It looks as though it is a standard Ford engine filter the old Z1 or AFL-1. The filter that came off was orangey-red colour and only around 3 inches long, the new one is around 4 nches and white?

Does any one know what the exact filter should be?

I'm not sure but if i was you i would ring up another dealer to confirm this.

Aren't all Falcon oil filters exactly the same spec, although different brands may be different to each other but will still work the same.

The initial fill filter from the factory is red/orange.
All other filters will be white.

From memory the No's on the filter should be fl-8024-s which is the same as Escape & Taurus & maybe Mustang. The filter is white & I think it makes it look larger. The grey filter that is fitted at the factory to 6 cyl engines is a little shorter than the AFL 1 that is availiable through spare part dept.
