Got home this afternoon and noticed a strong smell of burning plastic coming from under the r h wheelarch and the front mouth, opened the bonnett, no smoke, sniffed around in the engine bay, nothing identifiable. Went out an hour later and 5 klm away at my destination same smell, same scenario, and again when I got home. I'm wondering whether its the new non squeal tsb brake pad replacements or something more sinister. I'm off to Bris on thurs morning and I was going to drop it off and leave it at the dealers for an oil change and a bit of front spoiler touch up. Just wondering if anybody has experienced this so I can tell them what it is so they don't waste 3 hours trying to figure it out, or give me the old "Oh they all do that" routine, like the rattly tremec standard patter.

Had a mate with a similar problem, ended up being a plastic bag that got caught around the cat and was melting away
