Just received the latest offer from FPV.The offer quotes "As a TE50 or TS50 owner (T3 Series only). bla bla bla. Take delivery of a new FPV GT or GTP between NOV 1 2003 and JUNe 30 2004 and you will receive a special offer.
Great offer but do they Know who they have sold the new FPV range to.
NOT LIKELY. Yes I do still own a TS50 Series 3 , But I ordered a GTP in march 2003 and received it in late june. That is like saying here is next weeks loto results but you cannot use them. I think promotion is great but don't insult the buyers who rushed out and supported the FPV brand from day one. They should check there data base and see who has already bought there product. What do they want us to do, go and buy another GT or GTP
Very fair point. It would be nice to see them trying to support the loyal enthusiasts who have shelled out for their product WITHOUT any incentives or special offers.

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
I totally agree in principle, but at the risk of sounding like I'm belittling the issue, can I also remind you that we all make mistakes and always will.
I'm not here to make excuses for FPV, however it seems to be just one thing after another in this forum and it's snowballing. If the experience of owning a FPV product is truly that frustrating then it is time to look at the alternatives. Sometimes we all need to do this now and then to truly get a perspective on things.
BTW, This comment is not directly aimed at you GT193
Very fair point. It would be nice to see them trying to support the loyal enthusiasts who have shelled out for their product WITHOUT any incentives or special offers.
Totall agree on that point. Adding value is always a better strategy that discounting if that's what FPV are doing.
i sold a mazda to the local mazda dealer in order to buy my GT 4 months ago, and they are still mailing me for my mazda service. years ago we sold a mazda V6 astina and purchased 2 nissans after that and was still getting mazda mailouts when the car was long gone.

Depends which way you look at it, maybe Ford is trying to make up to the people who they took so much value from their vehicles in so heavilly discounting the T3 range. There were people that had spent $80,000 on their T3, only to have the same vehicle being sold new several months later for $55,000
These same people supported Ford, and its only owners of T3's that are being offered this, how many are there? 350 odd?

It annoys me when you get things when the company hasn't updated their database....but I personally wouldn't be annoyed if I got a letter tomorrow saying "As an owner of a TE50...." I would be quite happy!
I understand your frustration GTP193.

Tell me how Ford, or FPV knows you have sold your vehicle?
If the new owner dosnt fill in and send in the new owner form in the handbook, they would have no way of knowing that you are no longer the owner of vehicle ABC.
And how many people have filled in the form saying you have taken over the ownership of that vehicle.
As for GTP193, he still owns his TS50, so thats even harder for FPV to know. Fair enough there is a GTP registered to the same name and address, but computers are not that smart to know, that this owner has both a TS50 and a GTP. For instance it could even be a father and son living at same address.
I may upset some people with this post, but arnt we making mountains out of molehills here?
