Any Territorians out there know if I can buy 98RON in the NT?
Going on hols this weekend and driving up to Darwin from QLD.
Already strengthened the chassis against shock for when I cross the border and attempt to crack the sound barrier.
Wahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

You can at least get High Octane or RON 95 fuel up there, Darwin is basically sponsered by Shell, most of the huge trucks you see on the road around Darwin are Shell Tanker Trains with 4 tanks. Last time I was up there around 3 months ago there wasn't much in the way of Optimax but Premium was definately available, remember the GT(-P) only needs RON95, RON98 is just a bonus. I do always keep at least 1 bottle of Octane boost or some octane tablets in the car just in case anyway. Have a good trip flappist, get someone with you and a video camera so we can all see a GT(-P) with the needle all the way to the right legally on public roads

Should be a good sight seeing a GT in full flight Cruising up the highway to Darwin, safe driving.
Cheers John

Get your alignment checked by a decent suspension shop so you will track straight......make sure you have some toe in on the rears ( 1-2mm/side will help you brake straight in an emergency situation..........toe out will make the car all squirelly)
Get yourself a decent tyre pressure gauge and run em at about 34 psi all 'round.

Good Luck!
40 psi will increase type life, fuel economy and handling at the expense of a bit more road noise.
I know which way I would go...

Tyre life and grip and mutually exclusive.
40 Psi will aid turn but ultimate grip will suffer.....around 34Psi generally is a good compromise that keeps the sidewalls stiff enough and gives plenty of contact patch.
will take lots of pics including the mandatory "needle hard right" one
