Stay clear of GIO

When we were at Eastern Creek last friday after a couple of good laps i was talking to some of the guys and notice someone up the end of the pits dressed a little to good for the track so i decided to take a walk. Well when i got there i saw he had GIO insurance embroided on his shirt and was holding a digital camera in which he was taking happy snaps of cars on the track. Lucky early when the guys arrived i suggested that they remove or tape over their plates so all of our guys where OK but there was a few others that didnt go to the trouble.

Re: Stay clear of GIO

What scumbags! And people wonder why I am so anal about insurance companies. Yet another piece of proof that they will go to huge lengths to ensure they never have to pay out on a claim.

Re: Stay clear of GIO

Do you think it was a result of reading the forums or he was just by chance out near the track?

Re: Stay clear of GIO

Ive just taken out policy's with GIO, just come off a bad experience with RACV, so I will be sure as not to show plates or labels if we do anything.

You wouldn't think so but it does look suspicious.

Re: Stay clear of GIO

Was he taking piccies of the cars or the track, may have been there for some reason to do with the track promoter?
