Still Got The Grunt

I took the car down to Tim Slakos today to organise a Mal Woods shortened gear lever and knob, while I was there Tim took it for a run down the backstreets and was very impressed with the power, then the car went on the dyno in shootout and made 358 RWHP two runs in a row. It's pleasing to see the UNICHIP has done 6500klm and not a single problem. Now I just have to find those extra 42RWHP

How does the Tremec shifter feel? Is it a 40% reduction?

Talking of Grunt....took a mate for a spin in mine last night and let him drive the GT. My mate is an active member in the HSV owners club and he was blown away by the power, handling and brakes......

Hi Rod.

Mate Simon over GT-P 330 taunts me with the same question occasionally. I do want to but I would need a bit of practice getting off the line and at the moment I havn't got a lot of time. I always intended The Boss to be a high speed tourer and I got exactly what I wanted. If the F6 turns out to be a driveline shunt free piece of work then a tickled version would be a good drag machine. Pleased your car is just getting better .

The TREMEC S/Shifter feels superb, it would be at least 40% reduction, much closer gear selection and smooth. I was at Slakos because Mal Woods has made a shorter gear lever which looks really nice and shortens the throw Tim Slako is the WA man for them, cost @ $400. Booked in next Thurs, so I'll let you know. Whiteline 27mm front swaybar = bugger all difference.

Mine is fantastic, yes, about 40% less travel.

The best thing is it is as good as the Herrod one and 1/2 the price!!

Hi Al, we must be the WA WA land GT S/Shift kings. Hows your oil consumption going. Off to Bris on Fri 23rd back Tues 3rd. Then things should settle down and I can actually get some time off and get down to Mandurah.

Oil consumption has dropped right off, like less than 150ml in 1000km's. I'm wrapped!!
