just a couple of points:
- A GT that has done 3000km all of which it has been flogged shitless by journos eager to see if the car matches the reputation is not a good indication of the times this car could do. All that weight plus 500+Nm of torque would be EXTREMELY difficult to launch perfectly.
- If you want a car that goes hard, looks horn, does mid 13s and handles, brakes and performs like a supercar for under 60K, buy an STi. Under 50k, buy a XR6 turbo, its the new WRX.
- If you want a piece of an Australian icon that is "cool", has bragging rights and makes every 16 year old bogan turn his head and say "choice bro", buy a Clubsport or a Monaro (or a xr6 turbo for that matter waaaaaaaaa).
- Now if you want something that is individual, the underdog, a standard setter, technologically advanced, torquier, gruntier and looks "sweet" (ask your son/brother/or local bogans if you are over the age of 30) then buy a GT.
you have to nderstand that Ford couldnt
just finally put something with 220+kw in it and think wow its going to conquer the world.....HSV has been doing it for years.
now ford has somehting to that is the same packaging with equal ingredients. Now they just have to get people to eat it.

I was disappointed too but wait a little while....last year they had the ts50 doing 14.01 in PCOTY.
