If anyone can tell me if they have had theirs checked or know the correct figure. I had some surging and as a result had my fuel pressure checked it came in at 230 to 280kpa. An internal ford service document I was given on these cars says it should be 430kpa. There is either a huge difference here or a misprint in their own service document so I rang FPV and they said "It is our policy not to give out technical specifications because people sue us, you will have to ring your Ford dealer." If you stand by your product I cant see where this is an issue. I rang the dealer and the dealer has no clue he photo copied my documents and said " i will have to get on to FPV to find out" I am getting the complete run around as I do everytime I have to deal with FPV so please please if anyone knows the correct pressure can you please tell me.
I'm almost 100% sure there was a recall on these cars for a fuel pump/pressure related issue. There's a couple of members on here that have done the recall work, can't remember who they are.. I think Noddy is one?? Ask your dealer about the TSB issued by Ford for these cars on the fuel pump, problem might be related.

I had this issue sorted about 3months ago, the dealer I went to is one I knew was a FTE dealer in Brisbane so as soon as I mentioned the problem they told me there was a tsb on the pump.
They said all that needed to be done was a quick test on the pumps pressure and if it failed the test the pump would be replaced with the same unit that is in the 290 boss powered cars.
I don't have any figures for you in relation to what kpa the pump should be though the dealer said he has not seen one pump pass the test so the figures you are asking for shouldn't be needed. After the install of the new pump all was well.
The factory pump that is in the T-Series T3 cars is the same garden variety pump that is in any au iii taxi fuel tank, how's that for cutting costs?
Shite i hope sbutler does not read this article lol
