Take note FPV

Just got this email from a friend
http://www.fast-autos.net/ford/fordrs8.html

It seems FPV need to do some more road trips to the US to see what Perfromance really is, check out the peak power 6700RPM, very nice

Re: Take note FPV

Sounds like a new 5.0 engine for V8 supercar racing...

Re: Take note FPV

Donít forget though:

- When the FPV engines were being developed the 94mm bore was probably not available
- What emissions and durability testing would that engine pass?
- 5 litres is still too small when the opposition has 5.7

Don't forget that the V8 supercar laws prevent the use of the opposition 5.7 motor. Maximum capacity is 5.0 litres!!!

The Boss isn't exactly cheap either, and what price do you put on the much smaller size compared to the power output of that engine

Re: Take note FPV

eightoftwelve - I was referring to the road cars, but while we're on that point, perhaps it is time for V8SC to move away from 5L motors that neither company actually sell any more!

LOL, only problem Zetec is where would it go, I think they had to do the Toyota ad job and just close the bonnet and push hard just to get the V8 in
