Guys, a mate of mine was at FPV last week and saw a BA that looked like it had done a million miles, had different coloured panels, but most interestingly, it had a really big scooped bonnet. I asked if it was just an XR8, and he said that this bulge was a little higher and took heaps more of the bonnet space up.
What could this be??? Can any one here shed some light. Im hoping its a blown GTHO but I know its highly unlikely at this stage.
hmmm big scoop? sounds like a HO to me- just remember, GP has been giving us the scent- all we have to do is dream- after seeing the GT anythings possible with FPV!
I seriously wouldnt be suprised if they've started running mules but at this stage im guessing engine only

Gives us hope but...even if it is not the real thing. I was told first XR8 protos had fiberglass bonnets as the dies were not ready at the time - easy to play with. A separate bonnet made out of steel for a 'GTHO' (if one is ever to exist) would not be practical due to having to spread the high cost of tooling over such a small number of vehicles. But...imagine if that fact forced Ford to produce a limited run carbon fibre bonnet instead? Reduced weight, greater flexibility, improved racing pedigree etc etc. Imagine the possibilties...

So ford have something big and nasty planned for BAII / or BZ???
or perhaps an FPV XR6T???????????????????????????????????
