Top Performance on All Levels

Ford Performance Vehicles has this week proven its commitment to customer satisfaction by gaining an upgrade in its quality accreditation to ISO 9001:2000.

FPV has set new benchmarks in the Australian high-performance car market with its range of dynamic machines, the GT, GT-P and Pursuit ute – all of which are driven by the most powerful production engine built in Australia, the quad cam Boss 290 V8.

Re: Top Performance on All Levels

I think there is still a lot of work in front of FPV if they want to stay at the top. Personally I think if the owners of these vehicles felt they where the most powerful production engines in Aus they would'nt be getting all these mods done.
Come on Ford look and learn from these forums and see what the guys are doing to make these engines even more efficient.

Rod, It doesn't matter what Ford puts out for the general public to drive, we will always find a way to make these vehicles unique. That is what we do best! These forums are, from what I've gathered in a short space of time; all about people individualising their machines and then sharing this along with their thoughts and suggestions. Occassionally, you will get a heated debate on "Ford Should do this, Ford should do that" but Lets say they built the perfect car, and we had nothing to do to it but sit back and scratch our heads, then 1./ I doubt whether anyone could afford such a car (lets face it, parts are supplied by the LOWEST Bidder) 2./ I'd hate to own something that doesn't allow me to do something to it to say it's mine (that will be the day the whole aftermarket business will die)!
The way most of you are carrying on about warranty problems, and rattles in the gearbox ect, Ford would get the impression that they will NEVER be able to please EVERYONE. As long as that's true, we will always be trying to improve what is already a fantastic car, and make it better IN OUR OWN EYES!
I guess we are lucky in a way that most of the complaints I've perused are about petty little things (I'm not denying that they are problems, but look back to when a Warranty was 20,000km and 12 months, If you showed up then with a squeak in the dash somewhere and demanded that the whole car be pulled apart to locate it and then claim warranty, you would be laughted at! Cars have come a long way if those same manufacturesrs are offering 100,000km and 3 years with the option to extend that if you like!)

Re: Top Performance on All Levels

the 2000 series ISO just means everything is documented and they have procedures that are followed, doesnt mean quality will actually be any better.

Re: Top Performance on All Levels

What AS3900/ISO9000 certs really mean is:-

AS3903/ISO9003
1) We store and deliver other peoples assemblies
2) We stuff everything up the exactly the same way EVERY time.

AS3902/ISO9002
1) We assemble, store and deliver other people designs.
2) We stuff everything up the exactly the same way EVERY time.

AS3901/ISO9001
1) We design, assemble, store and deliver.
2) We stuff everything up the exactly the same way EVERY time.

We hold 9001 at work.... :)
