250 PURSUIT

Is there any one out there that has a tow bar on a gt-gtp or typhoon where there is no hole cut in the rear bar.

Any help would be great.

I have a client that has a HSV and he was able to find a tow bar that does not require the rear bar to be cut. The oly catch I believe is that it has a lower towing capacity as it has to come downa and back up to the equivalent height.

I will be seeing my client next week, but if you are in a hurry I could phone him if you like.

I had the same dilemma/issue on my Pursuit. As GTP151 pointed out the only issue with one that comes up and under the rear bar is the incredibly diminished towing capacity. I had a Hayman Reese hitch receiver towbar fitted at Rallyspeed in Atrarmon NSW and they did an incredible job where the gap around the hitch that comes through the bumper is only 5 mm. Once they put the dressing around the plastic where it was cut it is a perfect fit. I have been towing a fair bit with mine from bikes to boats and have had no issue with the bar moving around at all and hitting the side of the hole.

If you have a need to tow loads there is no real choice but to cut the bar. The thing is finding someone who gives the same two hoots that you do about how it looks when it is finished.

ive got a standard HR AU ute towbar frame thing sitting in the garage, took it off when i fitted the pursuit rear bar. im assuming they modify this so it will go down and under the rear bar?
