Calder tonight went out with Rod in his Pursuit and smashed the previous best time for BA 290 BOSS Rod went ET:13.26 @ 108 MPH , Great drive rod, great effort the time and practice and trialing of many things has finally paid off...
and well done to Peter at APS and his team for taking up Rods Challenge and fitting the Unichip & tunning the Ute..
now APS & Unichip can add the fastest N/A 290 BOSS to there impresive list...
traction was a problem very cold night even the tissue's i had sitting on the fence got wet from the damp air, and if rod gets his shift light working properly there should be a bit more in the car yet at 108 mph should get closer to that magic 12 mark.. i might add this is the 1st time the ute went 108mph not bad for a 2 ton tubby truck..

also the return track has had its pot holes filled with gravel.. its a start..

as for the Mph I am more than happy with that I was just looking at some of the time slips from tonight & I had 108.06, 107.90, 107.70, 107.30 & 107.88 just goes to show that we are makeing plenty of horse's, now all I need to do is get it to the ground

HI rod, that higher MPH you have to put that down to the Unichip, as thats the only mod since the last visit to Calder...great Power and speed for a Auto..

Yep craps all over my 107max and average 106.

Well done Rod so what pwer you making now?? and also mods. A big increase since the last few times, so whats the deal? different diff now, gears? its an auto yhea? maybe a stally?

well done rod, the change to the pink overalls must of paid off lol

Brilliant times there, it just goes to show that we are still only fitting simple bolt ons and no major work has been really done as yet...and the 108mph, well thats definately good for a low 13

Mark hopefully next time we go out we can lower our times by another 0.15-0.2 or so, that would be brilliant, keep the OFR records hard to beat (although ray will have to learn how to crack a sub-14 driving his car himself...)
