I had my heart set on buying an FPV GT-P, and I recall the excellent responses from flappist and others back in February 2004, but to be honest the more widely I read this section of the forums BEYOND the thread where I asked about the comparison of the XR6T and FPV GT-P, the more my head said for me to wait for another GT incarnation later on, so in the meantime I am enjoying myself with the XR6T.

Having said that, I do not get the impression that Ford/FPV is going to give me that dream of a Holden/HSV-conquering GT anytime soon so, I may have to resign myself to the prospects of a Typhoon to have any chance of driving a stock Ford/FPV that could be a performance match for HSV's elite.

For the record, this is my favourite area of Ford Forums because I want to be continually updated about GT progress and consumer perceptions, in the hope that I may have underestimated Ford/FPV's genuine interest in a performance-leading GT...dare to dream!

i drive a BA XR8 ute during the week but on weekends I drive a T3 TS50!!! And love it!!!

BA GT on Sat and XB GT on Sunday and soon a T3 as a work hack since those prices are real low at the moment
