Last year I remember David Flint basically pleading with the show participants not to do and burnouts when leaving the Tickford Family day.
But did people listen? NO. When I was leaving there was a huge crowd (including many children) lined up the road with plenty of dickheads bagging their cars up within a few metres of people. It would only take a minor mistake for a number of people to be injured or even killed.
This obviously put a dampener on an otherwise great day.

So whats being done to prevent this happening this year? I think a couple of cop cars lined up on the street near the FPV yard exit should be effective?

A petrol head does not need Geeing up but when you have 50+ people waiting out the front Yelling BAG EM UP doesnt help the cause. I agree its dangerous but perhaps the idiot spectators are as much to be blamed as the idiots with the heavy right foot.

Its all part of the day and yes it is dangerous! stay off the road , thats what I did. I think it will continue because IMO a majority of people like what they see at the end of the day.:s6: :s6:

You may be interested to note that David Flint nearly ended up jail the year before because of DICKHEADS doing burnouts.

There is a time and place for everything, and burnouts in the street are just not on! Specially with kids around!!!!

Hopefully this year this will change

Didnt know that. Thats probably the last thing FoMoCo need right now then. Sounds like the boys in blue may have a strong prescence there this year handing out tickets! How about organising some sort of all ford drag day at calder or something ?? Or has it been done already ?? Cheers

Amazing what unmarked cop cars can do at the end of the street. I believe a few people recieved some heavy fines after last years poor showing..

i say just confiscate the cars...that will teach them a lesson. most people go to thse places to have a good day, others just come to ruin it.

I vote we arrange for the broady TMU to show up towards the end in marked cars ... anyone that gets caught gets Zero sympathy.

One stunt that ends in disaster like that and we can kiss FPV day and th elikes goodbye.
