XR8 now in showrooms. When now the GT?

Given that the XR8 is now appearing in showrooms around the country, when can we expect to see the same occur for the GT? If pricing and spec levels for the XR8 are now available for the XR8 when can the same be expected for the GT?

In previous threads it would appear to me that it has been assumed that the XR8 and the GT's will be released in showrooms together (the manuals at least) but this now doesn't appear to be the case.

Guys and Gals, an update please.

I think the word from a few people was that pricing and so forth was to be released on the 20th of Jan. Myself, I wouldn't have a clue...can't come soon enough IMO.

Can probably expect to start seeing them shortly as builds have commenced (on the manual only of course).

Thanks for your replys.

I guess that the only final unknown info now required for choosing between the XR8 and the GT is pricing and the interior features of the GT and GT-P. Seeing the new colours in the flesh also, eg citric acid, orange and the new green and silver (to come) and of course driving each.

I believe that the green will be brighter than the current Congo Green and indeed will replace the Congo Green but of the silver, I know very little. I'm sure others who frequent this forum can provide more details.

I was told approximately a month after the release of the XR8 to the dealers from my local dealer.

Considering that most of the T series buyers picked the auto, maybe they are waiting for the auto trans to be ready before they release the GT.
I just thought that considering that most GT buyers will be in the previous T-series bracket then it would make sense that most of them would buy autos.
FPV would hate to disappiont such big spenders after all.
