Focus SVT Question

Just took possession of a new Focus SVT, 6 speed transmission. Test drove numerous cars in same general class, including 3 of these, before making purchase. Handles great. Complaint: over-throttle on the shift. Cannot shift quickly and smoothly because of programmed sequence where it keeps rpms up--there's a delay before they drop. So my choice is either shift slowwwwwwwly and smoothly or shift fast and jerky, andwear out the synchronizers early. It diminishes driving fun.

Took it in the dealer for 1000 mile "check" and their response to this was "tests within normal range" and "Ford has not noticed a problem with this."

Anyone? Do I have to look foraftermarket modifications? Is there something I'm missing? Am I stuck? Any thoughts?

there are several ways to help this out....you can use a lightened flywheel which decreases rotational mass and allows for quicker engine response...reprogrammed ecu or performance chip(if avail) free up the intake and exhaust allowing the gasses to move faster and the sensors get s quicker sample to change engine reactions.
