IF SVT Still Exists???

If the SVT (or some resemblance of it) still exists, why doesn't Ford use it for more vehicles? The new Lincoln sedan, due out in the US soon, looks nice but it wouldn't hurt to have a shot of V8/Supercharged power, performance suspension, maybe some conservative aggressive body work and a manual transmission. Look at what Caddy has doene with it's "V" cars, notably the CTS-V.

Happy motoring!

Re: IF SVT Still Exists???

Never know! Dodge is coming out with a manual transmission offering in its new Challenger...so I'm sure Ford will bring something better to the table than a four year old Mustang platforms. In a few years V8's will be on the run in favour of blown V6's or I4 engines due to new CAFE regulations. GM's on a good comeback as well, but they're always too late to the party. I love how they compare their CTS-V to premium models such as Porsche and Mercedes; the General has to do something about those poor resale values before I'll consider the CTS-V a solid contender.

A few years ago Ford made a concept full size V10 sedan - that's the one they should have put into production this year! SVT could have added a blower easily pushing over 550hp to the rear wheels and gobs of torque. It would put the 300C and Charger on the run!

SVT still exist they just came out with the raptor and SVT is behind the new shelby GT500's hence why the rims say SVT

"horse power gets you there, torque keeps you there"
