I have a 2001 Ford Taurus, the radio will not turn on, heat is on and it
won't turn off, outside temp has been stuck at 71 degrees. HELP!!!!

yes that is the failsafe when the climate / radio unit dies .... you
will have to replace the radio unit i believe but first check fuses...
if they are all olk contact your ford dealer and see if there is
anything they can do for you (besides charging you and arm and a leg for
a new one)
