ok. i got 2 issues here and i was hoping someone can help me out. ive been searching all over google with numerous strings of keywords and havent found jack squat.

1) where is the chime unit located? this infamous POS has been such an annoyance, i have just decided to replace it with something a little less annoying such as a small red LED next to the steering wheel on the dash. problem is i havent the slightest clue where to find the chime thingie.

2) a couple months back i bought an '95 windstar OEM amplifier on ebay in preparation for a carpc im currently working on and i plan to replace the headunit altogether. i was told (and read at numerous sites) that the '95 and '96 amp/audio system didnt differ much if not at all. my problem is i cant find a plug behind the dash or plugged into the HU that goes into the larger socket on the amp (14 pins iirc. 6 on top row, 3 on each side. 8 on bottom) and the square socket which is for the audio input also isnt in there (which i guessed as much). now i tried looking at places like metraonline and installer.com, but the ones i found that were close to being correct only had the audio input connection. if anyone can point me in the right direction here, id be happy :)
