97 Taurus radio mute wire - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I'm installing a bluetooth unit in my son's '97 Taurus and I can't find the location of the mute wire. Can anyone give me a hand?
It's a stock radio with a cassette and a CD controller and the RCU in the trunk. I've tried probing the wires on the head unit without success. Is it possibly on the RCU? A factory cell phone was an option in this car so I know it has a mute. I just can't find it. I have the factory wiring diagrams. What might Ford call it besides 'Mute"?
