Aftermarket Speakers In A BA

Im just curious to who on FF has aftermarket audio in their BA Falcon, im wanting to get 6.5" S type Alpine splits but the salesman at stereo sales told me they are too deep to fit into the BA door pod. If anyone has upgraded their factory speakers could you please let me know what uve got and how you went about installing them.

Cheers Dave

oh yeah, thanks for that Brett. Do you notice much difference in sound quality, bass, etc etc and do you mind me asking what brand you got. Thanks

Cheers Dave

Re: Aftermarket Speakers In A BA

I had a phoenix gold amp connected to the factory head unit, 6.5 inch precision power carbon fibre splits in the front, the use a little mdf do to this properly.

I used phoenix gold titanium series in the rear 7x9 I think...

I good audio shop should know what they can get into your car, just make they have a good reputation.

Mine was done by DB Fever in Melbourne, they also own a car audio forum website good info there...or send them a email www.dbfever.com.au/

Is your car a BA? How did they connect a amp to a factory head unit?
Thanks

hi quality line in filters, some have done this and have humming through the speakers while radio is on..DB Fever done there best to eliminate this by using better quality filters...send them a email or call them....
and the amp sits under my passenger seat..

Re: Aftermarket Speakers In A BA

FOR THE RECORD ......Alpine has a 5x7 split and they sound great as I have fitted them into the little lady's focus st170 off a Rockford fosgate 4 channel amp and a Lanzar pro 12" sub The thing pounds now!!!!.......... no depth problems when fitted with the included spacer rings..... used the factory mounting holes and all!!!!

hope this helps
