i currently have a jvc head unit which was in the car when i got it and im not really impressed.it also had the standard pioneer speakers which i replaced with alpine sps-107a all round,they soun great so i wanna put in an alpine headunit and sub,its the amp that worries me.i got quoted 400 on an alpine mrp-m350 amp.i think thats a bit more than i wanted to pay so can any of you give me some cheaper suggestions that would do the same job as this amp.

Just get a Jaycar or other less named amp, some are bloody good.
the beauty of sound systems is you can mix and match, it doesn't all have to be the one brand.

u should be able 2 get a good 2 channel amp 4 just over half the price(considering that its 4 the sub only), goin 1 brand is a rip off, u ended up paying shitloads more on the entire system than if u used differnet brands. if ure after a 4ch amp then expect thet price.
