I have a Earthquake 300tx amp which is driving a 15 inch sub (well used to be driving a 15 inch sub). Now when I turn the amp on it goes into protection straight away. The green LED does not light up at all just the red protection one as soon as you turn it on. Even with no speakers connected it still goes into protection. I tryed taking it out of the car and connecting it to a power supply but it still goes into protection. Then I opened it up but couldn't see anything wrong with it. Nothing looks or smells burnt. So does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with my poor amp? And roughly how much would it cost me to get it looked at by a pro? It was working fine for the last couple of months.

You need to take it into a repairer, cost will depend on whats wrong... could just be dust
