hey everyone,

I have recently put a new head unit in, and all works well, except the antenna comes up when I play cd's... it does no harm, just wanna see if i can stop it thats all.

I had two wires on the new head unit: ant remote and ant. I connected both but only ant remote made the antenna come up when i turned the radio on. How can I get it to come down when I play cd's? does this other wire have anything to do with this?

btw its in an AU2 if that makes any difference.

im not real big on the electrical stuff so any help would be great!

Same problem in my EA technically, it is just a remote antennea wire, it just sends a signal to the arial that the head unit is on, so up it goes, best I can think of is a switch so it wont go up, but if anyone else has a better idea would love to hear it.

ant remote is the wire out, the ant may a be a wire in, like a mute for mobile phone (just a guess). whats the unit model etc...

what I just discovered is if you turn the cd player on and load a cd straight away the antenna comes up, but if you play the radio, then switch to cd it goes down, but back up when you switch back to radio.
