just wondering if any1 can help, just recently had a pioneer deck installed into my au series 1 forte. is it normal for the audio controls on the steering wheel not to work with a new deck? if not how can i rectify the prob.

check all the wiring, and make sure the new deck is compatible with that system in the steering wheel. some are, some arent. if not, then ur out of luck. if it is, check ur wiring.

If your new head doesn't support the wheel controls, somewhere like Strathfield can install some kind of a convertor for 130ish.

used to fit the systems! you need a unit from stinger australia speak to locky or steve and they can give you the number of a stockest in your area, actually scratch that just saw you live in adelaide as do i, go see Ang at complete audio at wayville he usually has these adapters in stock. also make sure your head unit has an infrared remote or can be optioned otherwise your screwed cause thats how it adapts the steering controls to the headunit! One other thing, they aint cheap around $200 for the unit and about $50 to fit good luck let me know how you go :o)
